MCQ questions will be allocated roughly as follows across all subjects:\n<ul>\n<li>Problem-solving and analytical skill types &#8211; 60% &#8211; 70%<\/li>\n<li>Comprehension type- 20% &#8211; 30%<\/li>\n<li>Recall type- 05% &#8211; 15%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The level of knowledge necessary to get skills will be roughly\n<ul>\n<li>Must Know: 60%<\/li>\n<li>Nice to Know: 30%<\/li>\n<li>May Know: 10%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>Pattern and Distribution of Subjects<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Six subject papers with corresponding weightage and time allocation will be included in the NExT Step 1 exam.<\/li>\n<li>Applied features of all other MBBS subjects, including forensic medicine and toxicology (FMT) as well as community medicine, will be mainstreamed within the pertinent clinical subjects.<\/li>\n<li>The subjects are listed below along with their appropriate item weightings and time allotments:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<table style=\"width: 100%; The objective of this step is to evaluate the competencies of the medical graduates in clinical diagnosis, patient and clinical decision-making, and practical and communication skills.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>Evaluation Methods<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The examination will comprise Actual cases, Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE), and Simulations if possible.<\/p>\n<p>There will only be two levels of grading available: &#8220;Competent\u201d or &#8220;Pass&#8221;\/&#8221;Not Competent&#8221; or &#8220;Fail&#8221; depending on the likelihood of satisfactory performance or unsatisfactory performance.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>Distribution of Subjects <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The following subjects shall be evaluated during NExT Step 2:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Medicine and allied subjects<\/li>\n<li>Surgery and allied subjects<\/li>\n<li>Obstetrics and Gynecology<\/li>\n<li>Pediatrics<\/li>\n<li>Otorhinolaryngology<\/li>\n<li>Ophthalmology<\/li>\n<li>Orthopaedics and Physical Medicine &amp; Rehabilitation (PMR)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol
